The practice was set up in 1985 by Victoria Manser, a graduate of Bristol University and the
Architectural Association London

Based in central London the practice undertakes a variety of work and
focuses on offering a personal, reliable and professional service that takes account of the
clients' needs, the context of the site and the available budget. Solutions are thoughful and
elegant responses to a thorough and conscientious appraisal of the client's brief.

Clients are mainly private individuals and companies with an interest in good quality
contemporary design and an enthusiasm to engage in the design process.

Over the years the practice has developed an expertise in sensitive additions to listed buildings
and the refurbishment of many different types of property. Past experience includes residential,
retail, education, offices, exhibitions, restaurants, garden layouts and furniture design.

Sustainability is promoted in designs through the use of simple but effective measures such as
the use of recycled materials, locally sourced materials, high levels of insulation, thermal mass,
passive ventilation and carefully orientated glazing to maximize natural daylight.

Since 2005 Victoria Manser has been working in conjunction with The Manser Practice Architects on
a major redevelopment of The Godolphin and Latymer School, West London, following the
school's purchase of an adjacent site.
